Why ciropractic care makes sense in children and infants
Various tests and a parent’s anamnesis show us which individual problems are present. Thanks to targeted, gentle techniques, we treat your children naturally and without pain. We pay attention to postural trauma, unnatural positions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine and strain on the developing nervous system, which otherwise often goes unnoticed. Common complaints in children and infants and their causes
During the birth process, the newborn’s head, occiput and upper cervical spine are often bruised and strained. This can result in a so-called KISS syndrome. (Cranial Indicated Symmetry Disorder) If this remains unrecognized and untreated, it can massively impair the development and behavior of the child. Nerve impulses to and from the brain cannot flow freely.
Some typical signs in babies include:
- asymmetries of the skull
- sleep disorders
- Constant tilting of the head (forced posture)
- Frequent crying (as in colic)
- The child always sleeps on the same side
- Screaming while sleeping, restlessness during the day
- Difficulty keeping your head up
- Asymmetrical arm and leg movements
- One-sided deformities of the feet (sickle foot)
- The child drinks reluctantly and/or little
- Hypersensitivity of the neck area
The child has often already instinctively learned to suppress malpositions and pain. For example, a child who pulled himself up very early and tried to walk without the “crawling phase” may not have made a developmental leap, but in fact only instinctively strived for a pain-free posture! If a child is unable to reproduce what has been learned or suffers from coordination and developmental disorders, we can check whether they are suffering from the so-called KISS or KIDD syndrome (cervical-induced dyspraxia and dysgnosia, a secondary disease of the KISS syndrome).

- Persistent coordination disorders: Cycling, balancing and other balance motor movements are difficult or difficult to learn.
